Creation Homes takes 7th place as Wilson Property Agents edges higher on the 9th BRW Fast Starter list

Creation Homes director Luke Hartman hopes his company's revenue might jump by 300% this year as the housing and construction group secured a 200% rise in 2012.

The Victorian-based home building construction company was listed as number 7 in the latest BRW 100 Fast Starter list with its $10.8 million revenue. The company has expanded into South Australia, Queensland and shortly NSW.

Crawford Realty, the high-profile WA estate agency which is on an expansionary program to Queensland,  sat in 17th place with a $6.7 million revenue from the work of its 38 staff. It represented a 56% increase in revenue.

Newground Property in Queensland took 49th place with a 317% increase in revenue to $2.45 million derived from its staff of four.

With a 37% rise to $1.9 millon revenue, Adrian Wilson, the principal of Wilson Property Agents, saw his agency listed as number 62 in the latest BRW Fast Starter list.

For entrepreneurs and start-up businesses to qualify they must have reported revenue of greater than $500,000 in 2011-12.

The BRW editor James Thomson said the group of 100 companies were established in the global financial crisis and have "emerged tougher, smarter and better managed."

With a staff of 170, the online retail rising star, brandsExclusive headed the list, now in its ninth year.

Some 42 of the list came from NSW, followed by 28 in Victoria. The total revenue of the Fast Starters surged 86% to $438?million.

brandsExclusive's revenue was $56.7?million, followed by energy company powerPerfector Australia with $34.1?million and consulting group Granite Consulting with $15.7?million.

Recruitment firm SCO Recruitment was fourth with revenue of $14.4?million and the Perth-based consulting group Velrada was ranked fifth place with revenue of $12.2?million.

The 100 Fast Starters added an additional 525 full-time equivalent jobs to the economy.

The Wilson Sydney CBD based real estate agency with a staff of 11 has also been a finalist and winner at the 2012 Real Estate Institute of New South Wales Excellence awards and a finalist in the 2012 City of Sydney Business Awards. It ranked 91st in the year before on the BRW Fast Track list.

Wilson Property Agents say they have further expansion plans to be announced later this year.
