Cielo de Bonaire, one of the world's most expensive villas, has been on the market with price hopes of €50 million ($69.24 million) since 2007 and is yet to find a buyer. Matthias Kuhn built the property on speculation, and it hit the market just before the GFC hit in early 2007. The Times of London reported at the time that it was part of the evolution from a cheap holiday destination for British sun-seekers to a billionaires' playground.

The eight-bedroom, eight bathroom mansion has3,500 square metres of living space, a helipad, tennis court, indoor and outdoor pools, five guest suites, servants' accommodation and the best views in Mallorca, as it is perched on a hillside with panoramas over the sea and mountains.

The property is being marketed by Sotheby's
