Sharon Stone, best known for her role as man-eater Catherine Tramell in Basic Instinct, has listed her Beverly Hills mansion for less than what she paid for it in 2006. She purchased the seven-bedroom, eight-bathroom Mediterranean compound for about US$11 million and now is looking for US$8,995,000 for it.

Stone never moved into the property, according to reports, and has been trying to sell it off and on since 2009. The two-hectare property includes parking for 14 cars, a tennis court, pathways that wind their way through lush foilage and across bridges, a library and separate guest quarters. Joseph Babajian of Rodeo Realty is marketing the property. The property is a half-hour walk from Sunset Boulevard.

With the state of the real estate market in the US, Stone will be keeping her fingers - and legs - crossed for a buyer.
