Former Socceroo Brett Holman sells Peregian Beach home

The former Socceroo and Brisbane Roar soccer player Brett Holman and his wife Femke have flipped their Peregian Beach holiday home.

It looked set the couple were going to move to the Sunshine Coast property, listing their Brisbane base shortly after the purchase two years ago.

But a sale never eventuated in New Farm, so they have decided to sell the holiday property, recently securing a buyer at $2.55 million, well up on the $1.95 million they paid off-market two years ago when the home was brand new.

The Tim Ditchfield-designed home with panoramic views of the ocean has four bedrooms and three bathrooms. There's a master suite with its own walk in wardrobe, designer ensuite and covered balcony.

Two others bedrooms are located in their own wing, and the fourth is on the lower level, a self-contained studio with its own kitchenette and bathroom beside the two car garage.

Beneath in the basement is a private media room with polished concrete floors.

The lounge room features a Lopi fireplace and meets the brand new kitchen with an elongated concrete island bench. Flanking the open plan living and dining space are covered alfresco decks and outdoor entertaining spaces, one meeting the swimming pool.

Holman, who runs a small football academy in the Sunshine Coast, and Femke are based in a five bedroom home in New Farm, which they bought for $2.43 million in 2016 when returning to Australia after spending 14 years playing soccer across Europe and Asia.

Born in Bankstown, Holman started his soccer career at Parramatta Power in the NSL before joining Dutch club Feyenoord in 2002.

Holman left Holland in 2012 to join Aston Villa in the English Premier League for a season then went on to play in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Holman has represented the Socceroos 63 times, scoring nine goals.
