Jackie O seeks $6.5 million for former Vaucluse matrimonial home

Radio host Jackie O’s matrimonial Vaucluse home been listed with a $6.5 million price guide ahead of its March 31 Ray White auction.

She vacated the five-bedroom, three-bathroom home at 9 Cambridge Avenue home when she separated from her husband, photographer Lee Henderson in 2018.

The couple who'd been married for 18 years had transformed the home after they bought it for $2.7 million in 2012.

Woollahra Council records indicate dwelling house alterations and additions; a new swimming pool; and a new front fence and landscaping works costing $430,000 were approved in late 2012. In 2015 works for further alterations and additions including rear dormer to the attic and boundary fencing were approved at a $350,000 cost.

There is now 350 sqm internal space.

The rear garden has a children's cubby house of their only daughter.

The Domain website currently gives its price estimate as between $4.27 million to $5.45 million based on the estimate from APM of comparable sales data in the area.

It suggests the house is estimated to be worth around $4.86 million.

The realestate.com.au does not give a price estimate in accordance with their practice that once a listing goes live the estimate is de-activated.

Domain are bearish on Vaucluse's median price calculating it as down 7.5 percent in 2019 from $5,230,000 to $4,840,000.

Realestate.com.au calculate Vaucluse has 37 properties for sale.

They put the median Vaucluse property price over the last year at $4,779,590 for houses.

The Bondi based renter has yet to be known as buyer although she missed out last year on a $5.86 million Vaucluse auction offering.

The Vaucluse home images show her walk-in still having her clothes, half empty racks of shoes and some jewellery along with Hermes and Chanel shopping bags.
