Channel Seven reporter and newsreader Ryan Phelan and girlfriend, ballet teacher Chelsea Franklin, have bought a home together in Frenchs Forest.

The couple snapped the 2012-built Frenchs Forest home paying $2.16 million.

The pair both posted to Instagram their success.

"We BOUGHT a house! Blessed beyond measure," Franklin captioned a photo of the pair in front of the sold sign outside the house.

They missed out on a few places on their search, getting outbid previously.

Franklin has taken one of the rooms up as a home office with a ballet barre.

The custom-built two storey family home has five bedrooms and three separate living spaces.

The main open plan living, kitchen and dining area opens to the alfresco entertaining deck and lawned landscaped back yard.

It last traded for $1,382,500 in 2013 when brand new.

Ray White Lower North Shore agent Robert Babic and Desiree Hough secured the sale.

Phelan, who joined the Seven Network in 2013, began dating Chelsea two years ago, following his split from former escort Samantha X.
