A six-bedroom trophy home, for sale on the Pelican Waters waterfront, is expected to set a new suburb record of more than $4 million.

Lucas Jeffries, of Henzells Agency, is marketing the property at 6 Rainbow Lane, which he says epitomises the “finest in palatial, resort-style living”.

“This HIA Sunshine Coast Home of the Year occupies a prime 1180 square metre site on prestigious Rainbow Lane including 67 metres of absolute canal frontage and large private pontoon for boating access to Pumicestone Passage and Caloundra Heads,” he said.

“Combining Balinese influences with contemporary coastal sophistication, the home features rich natural timbers and beautiful stonework creating a relaxed, resort-style oasis in one of South East Queensland’s premier water-based communities.”

Mr Jeffries said offers over $4 million were being sought, which would eclipse the previous residential sales record of $3 million paid for a four-bedroom home on Pelican Waters Boulevard in November.

With 6 Rainbow Lane, Tim Christopher from Christopher Design Group and interior designer, Mark Gacesa of UltraSpace, collaborated to meet the client’s brief of creating the feeling of being on a permanent holiday.

The home features a boardwalk entry, stepping stones and designer pavilion framing a private beach. A network of paths and bridges over pools and ponds enhance the resort-like stylisation of the property.

Highlights include a home theatre, executive office, gymnasium, and 1000 litre marine aquarium.

It also offers a 12-person spa, daybed and garden islands, bar with beer on tap, teppanyaki cooking and dining area, terrace, outdoor lounge and the 14 metre ocean-access pontoon.

The address is located minutes from the Caloundra CBD, and a one-hour commute from Brisbane.

The future Pelican Waters Town Centre and Marina, Greg Norman-designed Golf Course, pristine beaches, University Hospital precinct and a range of quality primary and secondary schools are all within walking distance.
