The former Sunshine Beach home of tennis legend Pat Rafter and wife Lara is back up for sale again with record hopes.

The home (above and below) broke the district record when it sold for $15.2 million just under two years ago to Queensland restaurant entrepreneurs David and Louise Hales.

The record only stood for two weeks, with a sprawling beachfront mansion on the nearby Webb Road selling for $18 million.

Now the Hales family, who have recently spent $5.67 million on a Noosa Sound waterfront given their boating interests, have listed the former Rafter home with $20 million hopes after making a number of improvements.

David was the co-founder of the Betty’s Burgers & Concrete Co, which he established on Noosa’s Hastings Street in 2014 and then expanded to nine outlets.

David sold Betty's Burgers to Retail Zoo.

the Hales family will only be in their Noosa Sound waterfront for a short while. They've recently settled on a knockdown rebuild on a double block on Mossman Court.

The Rafter's now live at a 38 hectare estate in the Byron Bay hinterland.
