Architect Bayden Goddard's own home on the Gold Coast has been sold for $4.5 million after it was listed with a revised $4.9 million price tag.

It had been asking $5,295,000 when listed late last year.

Of course designed by the Melbourne-born architect, the Isle of Hirsch & Faigen waterfront was acquired for $3 million in 2007 when Goddard and wife Jill bought it from photographer Louise Wolbers.

Kollosche Prestige Broadbeach agent Michael Kollosche secured the sale.

Spanning 550 square metres of living space, the home has five bedrooms, four bathroom, multiple living areas, an alfresco dining pavilion and a 12 metre swimming pool with separate spa.

There's a 27 metre sandy beach on the 915 square metre waterfront parcel.

A pontoon is located just off the beach.
