Emma and Garren Cronin list Whale Beach weekender

The former co-CEO of Mail Call Couriers, Emma Cronin, and Garren Cronin, the former Lazard managing director, have listed their little-used Whale Beach weekender.

Overlooking Dolphin Bay, the four-bedroom house sits amid Richard Unsworth-designed gardens on its 982 square metre holding.

Ray White agent Michael King says the design of steel, glass and sandstone offers a modern aesthetic along with its recent refurbishment aimed at creating a calming coastal ambience.

It was bought for $4,825,000 in 2015 after the clifftop property was designed by architect Joe Rooz for the Double Bay dentist David Penn and his wife, Linda, who then moved to their 2150 square metre holding next door.

Whale Beach’s most recent sale saw Martyn McCarthy, from Arrow Capital Partners, and wife Sarah sell off-market through LJ Hooker agent Peter Robinson, with as yet no price disclosure.

They had bought the 1980s home for $3.385 million in 2015.
