Radio Nova 96.9 newsreader Matt de Groot and his entertainment reporter wife Bronte Coy are leaving their Mosman nest and looking toward the Cronulla area for something bigger.

Coy’s family is based in the Shire.

De Groot — the breakfast newsreader for Fitzy & Wippa, as well as a rugby league commentator and game day MC for the Sydney Swans, Wallabies and the Sydney Sixers — bought the apartment in 2016.

He paid $815,000 for the two-bedroom, first level unit in the Nuova building.

Complete with a study nook, the open plan living and dining space, as well as both bedrooms, open on to the courtyard.

He’s now asking $950,000 for the 95 square metre unit which is set to go under the hammer on September 12 auction through Ray White Lower North Shore agent Lewis Adams.

The median price for a two-bed unit by realestate.com.au figures is $980,000.

A three-bedroom Cronulla home’s median is about $2 million.
