Sydney's stylish grandads Mitch and Mark have been made bookmakers favourites after the first episode of The Block 2019 aired on Sunday.

The Potts Point locals, who flip properties for a living, have been priced in at $3 on Sportsbet.

Sportsbet.com.au's Rich Hummerston said judging by the amount of tears shed in the first episode, this year’s Blockheads have the task ahead of them.

"Mitch and Mark are experienced flippers, which should give them an edge."

The couple, who have flipped 15 properties across Sydney, are currently seeking a buyer for one of their North Bondi projects.

Second favourites are Melbourne representatives Jesse and Mel, who have eased from $3 to $4.

Jesse is a real estate agent at The Agency and sold The Gatwick apartment of Courtney and Hans last year.

Tess and Luke, the newlyweds from the Sunshine State, are priced at $4.50.

Andy and Deb, the second representatives from New South Wales, are fourth favourites at $5 and the outsiders are experienced renovators from WA, El'ise and Matt.
