New Penrith Apartments, Townhouses and Land Releases

Here's some things you should know about Penrith:

Penrith is a major centre in the heart of Sydney’s Booming West.
As the last major stop before hitting the Blue Mountains, Penrith is bounded by the Nepean river on its western side and has excellent road and rail access to other corners of the Sydney basin and beyond.
Penrith is also a part of the Sydney Olympics legacy with the international regatta centre located just north of the centre of the suburb, offering residents extensive parkland and river walks as well as top class water sports facilities.

The centre of Penrith includes the station and a large Westfield shopping centre affording community members a great deal of amenities.

Lakeside living is made possible with recent land releases and there are several new off the plan apartment releases dotted around Penrith.

Penrith is a 24 minute express rail journey to Parramatta and a 49 minute express rail journey to Sydney Central.

Locally, Penrith has access to a wide range of employment opportunities and that will be enhanced over the coming decades as the new Western Sydney Airport and associated Aerotropolis is built to Perth’s south.

Planning for Penrith

As part of the New South Wales Government’s A Metropolis of Three Cities initiative, Penrith’s local area will see major growth occur over the coming decades.

The three cities initiative designates the Sydney CBD, Parramatta CBD and a new CBD to be created, known as the Western Sydney Aerotropolis, as key areas for jobs growth and transport connections.

The Western Sydney Airport will be linked by a new metro line from the Airport and Aerotropolis north to the main western line at St Marys - a few stops from Penrith.

Journeys by rail from Penrith are expected to be no more than 25 minutes (with a single change at St Marys).

Likewise, there are several large-scale roads packages to be built linking Penrith with the new city centre, jobs precinct and airport to the south.

A new motorway, the M12 running east-west from The Northern Road to the M7, will start construction in 2022.

The process of buying off the plan property in Penrith

Buying off the plan is a highly individualised process, however there are some key milestones that we can outline.

Interested buyers will often need to first pay a refundable fee (generally $1000) to reserve a specific unit and again, generally speaking, that reservation will be active until such time as a contract for purchase is signed.

If the buyer elects not to proceed, the reservation fee will be refunded.
If the buyer elects to proceed with the purchase, broadly speaking, a contract will need to be signed and a 10% deposit (minus the reservation fee already paid) will need to be paid.

Contract signing and taking all the deposits is a key milestone for the developer as, broadly speaking, they will use them as collateral to secure financing for the construction of the new property.

When construction of the building has been completed, developers will generally contact you and set up a time to complete the settlement of the transaction.

Settlement is the process of exchanging any deeds and it is when you need to have your finances in order so your bank or other financial provider can then pay the developer for your new home.
