Planning for Clyde North
Major road investment in Clyde North including the Thompsons Road upgrade has recently been completed.
The level crossing at Mernda Park was removed and Thompsons Road was duplicated from Berwick-Cranbourne Road through various sections to Dandenong Frankston Road.
Several new schools have been built, are in the planning stages or are under construction in the area. These include Clyde Creek Primary School, Clyde Secondary College, Ramlegh Park Primary School and Wilandra Rise Primary School.
Clyde Road in Berwick is one of the many level crossings on the Pakenham Line that are being removed with construction underway as of late 2021. When removed, Clyde Road will have 4 car lanes running underneath the Pakenham Railway line.
Another major road project underway in the area is the O’Shea Road upgrade that will include the complete rebuild of the Beaconsfield interchange allowing entry and exit to the Monash Freeway in both directions.
