1046 consists of eight oversized residences curated for the owner occupier, and is located near the corner of Glenhuntly and Booran Roads in Caulfield South, where the Mack Bros buildings, with their Art Deco facades and brick detailing, provide the context in which the project was conceived.

Designed by Architect Tecture, the building draws on the architecture of the Twenties and Thirties, the curved walls, stairwells, archways and window details, the use of brick, the strong horizontal bands shown through variations in the exterior material. It’s the language of Art Deco, but comfort, space and technology are distinctly Twenty First Century.

1046 reflects one of our guiding principles: we only ever build places we’d want to live in ourselves. It’s a philosophy that embraces privacy, comfort and style. These residences are built on a human scale, with welcoming foyers, generously proportioned kitchens and bathrooms and light-filled living spaces. It’s a building that, unlike so many these days, is not only comfortable, stylish, superbly finished and appointed, but also has a distinctive point of view.

Feature tiles in the bathrooms reference the external brick, whilst arched bathroom mirrors and a vaulted ceiling in the lobby entry reference the subtle curves of the facade. The predominantly monochrome finishes palette again gives a slight nod to the deco era, but are applied in a fresh and contemporary way. Darker & richer finishes are used selectively to create further contrast and detail. Light timber floors feature throughout the apartments to create additional warmth, adding to that homely feel.

Public transport is easily accessible with a bus stop right at your doorstep and Glen Huntly train station just moments away.
