QVM Munro Site Development
PDG is working on a two-stage development at the Munro site adjacent to the Queen Victoria Market precinct in Melbourne’s northern gateway. The project will play an integral role in the continuing legacy of both the city of Melbourne and the vibrant open-air market that has shaped its culture.
The first stage of the project covers the City of Melbourne’s largest community hub, located at the northwest corner of the Munro site. An underground car park for Queen Victoria Market customers, child care facilities, family centre, city room and affordable housing are all included in this stage.
The second stage will see one of Australia’s most sustainable mixed-use developments constructed, offering future residents unprecedented access to the southern hemisphere’s largest open-air market. The development will include a boutique hotel, fine grain retail and a limited number of apartments for sale in the northeast section of the Munro site.
