Wyndham Harbour | Werribee South

Hi everyone, new guy here from the south western 'burbs.

Wanting to show you the progress made so far on the Wyndham Harbour development going on along the coast of Werribee South. These apartments here are all sold out and construction looks set to be complete pretty soon. Not sure how many apartments are in this building but I think it's just over 100. There's going to be 1000sqm of retail space and 2000sqm public space including a piazza area.

These are the artist impressions on how this area should look once complete.

And a new proposed apartment complex:

spoke to the developer some time ago. once the section behind is rezoned they will have opportunity to develop 10 level residential towers

may roll this thread into the greater melbourne thread at some point

Oh right, I didn't know that. It would be weird to see buildings up to 10 levels almost in the middle of nowhere surrounded by farms.

they won't be surrounded by farms that's for sure

Whatever happened to this plan?

I'm not too sure Peter. My only guess is they may have gone with another architect firm who came up with a completely different design. I do prefer that one by Fender Katsalidis Mirams though.

Interesting and it's a start for higher density in fringe areas but it is a special case - people presumably buying in so they can have a berth fir their boat. Might even be that the apts are for weekends and holidays only. The rest seems to be typical low density suburban housing. And it's hardly a real community, no supermarket or school, just a piazza and cafes.
