It looks like it is already painted (on the right side only) in that last photo you posted?
Yeah it has too, this one needs all the paint it can get
This is a strange one.
I call this glass "Southbank blue". That cheap, shitty colour I asscciate with CE and other cheap shit from Southbank.
Looked at this when coming over the Westgate and through Fishermans Bend this morning. The concrete wall that can be seen surrounding the purple glass and supporting the bronze glass is a lot less obvious in photos and looks shocking. I hope there's a paint job coming.
I suppose it doesn't look too bad in the end
It's okay. Putting some fancy glass an otherwise CE quality tower and calling it a day still isn't the best outcome.
Well it is Southbank, after all. Mediocre is pretty much the best you can hope for, that or Marco. It could be worse.
silver over bare concrete helps out
Still can't get over that monster podium.
Even this one has a few flashing red lights at night. One from South Melbourne:
Geez I wish developers would start installing black window blinds instead of white. You only have to look at Vogue in Sth Yarra to see how white blinds can completely ruin an otherwise nice looking tower.
^^ White reflects heat, black absorbs heat.
Install both and pull the white one down in summer and black one in winter.
I collect, therefore I am. thecollectormm.com.au
My most hated building in Melbourne - bronze with purple, yuck ! It should have been silver (platinum) and purple ... Then there's that excessive use of tiny little Windows. Looks like some over-the-top drag queen designed this.
