Apparently Verge was marketed in Indonesia. Looks like 608 property group are not alone and this a JV with Donnelly group who are also behind 399 bourke tower.
Should appeal to gamblers given its location right next to the casino. In fact they should build a walkway direct from their building into the car park.
Looking at the renders it seem this will have a restaurant or some form of retail down the bottom which is promising. Better than Mainpoint across the road...
Well this sheds some light on what's happening here, I wonder what will happen now...
Death of developer behind Verge apartment project
November 19, 2013 - 2:06PM
The sudden death of developer and convicted fraudster Jason Van Der Slot has thrown into doubt the future of the $100 million Verge apartment project in Southbank.
Fairfax Media understands Mr Van Der Slot recently took his own life while facing a Supreme Court lawsuit over allegations he misappropriated more than $8 million from his former employer, prominent developer Mario Salvo of Salvo Property Group.
The 43-year-old Sydney-to-Hobart yachtsman and rally car driver was, as the time of his death, the director of 608 Property Group, the development company behind the 210-unit Verge residential complex on City Road, across from Crown Casino.
Mr Van Der Slot has been accused of using his former position as senior manager in Mr Salvo's property empire to steal millions of dollars in a complicated, long-running scam involving fake invoices made out to companies he secretly controlled, according to court documents.

i see crown one day demolishing part of the carpark for a sizeable tower
Yep, although that carpark is a massive money spinner for them at the moment, people would be surprised how much crown makes on carparking alone.
Very close to Kingsway. Hope double glazing is included in every apartment.

slow going
I wonder if the slow going is due to the cramped site. It certainly doesn't look all that accessible.
They fair dinkum must have 2 blokes working on this site the going is that slow.
Marvelous Mega-Melbourne
hah there were two when i walked passed
lol, don't think i've ever seen more than a handful down there now i think about it.
Looks like car stacker lifts used to access podium. How many levels is the podium?
Dunno what the deal is here but doesn't look like much is happening at the moment....took this on Wednesday afternoon with not one person on site.
Its been no different for the last 2months ...
Well this sheds some light on what's happening here, I wonder what will happen now...
