Saw this render of it at the Central Equity stall at the Chinese New Year festival thing that Crown has, took a quick snap while I walked past.
no wonder they need an OTT graphic pointing out where it is.... its completely un-remarkable...
Most of Central Equity buildings are plain and looks devoid of quality. However, most of their projects seem to be built.
I personally would be embarrassed to say I owned a CE apartment. Totally agree with the previous comment.
Cheap and nasty...
The reason they get built is due to the fact they are cheap and lack anything that will add to their cost.
Its a pity.
Do you ever look at marketing material and just ask...what? Ie. "Multi Award Winners"
No clarification which awards they're referring to. Certainly no Australian Architecture Awards from what I know. Even with a tight budget it's not that hard to differentiate a design. Or is it planning approval that's ultimately to blame?
no awards for external design thats for sure. they occury a certain segment of the market and have a successful formula, be thankful their designs in recent years have improved dramatically. 2011 Victorian Apartment Project of the Year was one of their awards.
this may make some people smirk, http://www.austcham.org/node/759
marketing kicking off in melb now
not the worst at ground level
Would be nice if the podium had an apartment wrap at least, but so glad there will be some retail finally along that stretch. This plus the cafe going in at Wrap should help being a little bit of life to the area at least.
Definitely not offensive.
Observe. Design. Build. Live.
Scaffolding on it's way up. Looks like soon to be another one U/C in Southbank.
I am amazed they've sold enough of these already to warrant construction.
Central Equity are an apartment sales machine!
Once this is built it will be only be the 1st and last sites in this stretch of City Rd left to develop, 108 Aus's site and the site in frount of Epic..
builders in the running
Probuild, LU Simon, Built, Multiplex, Icon
Should be interesting as there's not much by way of large tenders around atm, at least this will proceed to construction quickly
Scaffolding all the way up the building now
Thanks for the photos Ryan Seychell. Please keep them coming!
This one is 131 metres high, that was taken from the plans that used to be available on line.
