Yarra One
4248 on Claremont Street demo.
One of Melbourne's new vertical schools, this one in High Street, Prahran.
Icon has got the build for Iglu's student site at 6-8 Claremont Street, South Yarra and has already started. They're using the same crane set-up as on the Union Tower site in Little Lonsdale, with the crane suspended slightly. It's 74m/24L.

Yarra One will need a crane soon, with the ramp looking very steep.
A piler is already at work on the 4248 site, further along Claremont Street.
Iglu's crane went up today.
Yarra One's crane base is in.

"No, not the cane!"
Lol, Thanks again for the updates Redden. :)

I'm afraid so, Maltezos, six of the best for you. As they say, "Spare the rod, spoil the child". I miss the edit function, and thanks for the thanks.
671 Chapel Street has been refused by VCAT because:
"We conclude that the height, breadth and materiality of the proposal before us will have an overbearing presence on MHS which would have an impact on its aesthetic significance. The proposal will thus impact upon the cultural heritage significance of MHS and is an unacceptable planning outcome."
The tribunal stated that if the taller section of the building near Chapel Street was retained but the lower section at the rear was removed that it may be acceptable. The problem was that the building is tall and wide, tall and slender would be a better outcome.
402 Chapel (Aloft Hotel) has finally started excavation. It's been quite a wait for this to get under way, so I'll post excerpts from the AFR article in 2016. Obviously, the anticipated 2019 completion date has slipped.
Starwood is betting on a revival of Melbourne's Chapel Street shopping and dining precinct with the unveiling of a new 176-room Aloft hotel to open in 2019.
The hotel at 402 Chapel Street will form part of a $120 million development by Spotlight Group, the retail, property and investment business run by BRW rich-listers Morry Fraid and Zac Fried.
The new Aloft Melbourne South Yarra is the fourth Aloft hotel announced in Australia to date and follows a string of announcements of new Starwood-managed hotels, including Four Points by Sheratons in Sydney and Parramatta and a new Westin on the Sunshine Coast.
The new mixed-use development will include ground-floor retail tenancies, first-floor offices conference facilities, 40 exclusive residences and the hotel, featuring a rooftop pool, bar and restaurant.
