The folds of Array's roof are like a lock to T5's key, found on the roof as well.
Did a search on the architects and found that it was Mirvac Design headed by Design Director Julian Venning.
Is architecture for Mirvac now handled in-house?
Wood Marsh were T5's architects and I can't help but think that they must be involved with Array as well.
I collect, therefore I am.
I think you could certainly mount an argument that both Yarra Point (to an extent) and Array (much more-so)have taken design cues from T5.
I see T5 as quite a masculine tower with Array as its female counterpart, much as you have described Array's roof to be like a lock to T5's key, almost like the inverse.
My understanding is that Wood Marsh were not involved in the design of Array, despite winning the design comp about a decade ago to design both T5 & T6. While I quite like Array I think it lacks some of the design finesse and execution that Wood Marsh would have brought, with some elements that look a little clumsy and unnecessary.
I would have liked the podium to tie in a bit better with T5's as per Wood Marsh's original scheme. Currently Array's podium has a Beacon Cove look about it, IMO.
Good to see it up and running already, no wasting time here!
Not tall enough lol!!!!
Toronto Construction and Development
Noticed they were giving tower 4 a repaint the other day
With yarra point complete and array under construction I wonder where and what mirvac are going to next in this precinct.
Have had authorisation from Mirvac to add more content to Array's project page:
check out the Penthouse view
^^ Wow Wee! that's impressive....
Observe. Design. Build. Live.
It will be good to see this gap in the Yarra Edge dentures filled. The line up will start to look very impressive when this one has risen a bit more.
onwards and upwards
still some talls to come
Good to see that tower 8 is still 150m+
Homes from $1.7m. They must be good. Hope they've read the market correctly in Docklands.
Yay. Now that the podium has been cleared it's time for the actual tower to start rising.
