Approved:

Lendlease lands on Collins Wharf

Lendlease will shortly launch into the last stretch of its vast Victoria Harbour precinct In Melbourne's Docklands, after gaining approval for a $300 million apartment complex.

Momentum for the 321-apartment development has been building, with Lendlease already signing on pre-sales, conditional on the permit.

With approval now granted by the state government, Lendlease can begin work on the 29-storey building, a gateway into the final strip of land dividing the Yarra River and nearby Victoria Harbour.

The residential complex will be known as 1 Collins Wharf, with a tower of 256 apartments, all with water views, and another 55 apartments lining the river's edge.

Ten terrace dwellings will each have Collins Street addresses. The apartments will be priced from $418,000 to $1.53 million.

"No.1 Collins Wharf offers homes with panoramic water views, right on the doorstep of Melbourne's bustling CBD," said Lendlease's managing director for urban regeneration and infrastructure development, Mark Menhinnitt.

"Residents will have immediate access to Victoria Harbour's existing community facilities like Library at The Dock, our new Knowledge Market and over 80 retail stores."

Yeah it presents far better than the other two Bates Smart towers next door although the precast trim around the podium of this one is a bit pedestrian
