The photos above don't show it, but in person they are really making their presence felt and are really bulking up this part of the city!
I collect, therefore I am. thecollectormm.com.au
Looks to me that the architects couldn't figure out a style to use. A big mess.
Toronto Construction and Development
Starting to become visible from all over the city now:
yeah these are not turning out well...
There are definitely things not to like about these, but the jury is still out for me. Either way, Melbourne Central is going to look a lot less lonely in a few years.
I actually don't mind these 2,they're nothing amazing but they're great compared to other Brady projects...they fill a nice gap. I love the bronze glass on the lower levels.
I think they are fine, Brady have far worse ones out there..
I know the blank concrete wall facing towards Elizabeth is necessary as it is on a boundary, and I know the Phillips Shirts site is likely to be redeveloped one day, but bloody hell that elevation is ugly. 128 metres of ugliness facing one of our key streets is very disappointing, it's a shame Brady weren't made to pretty it up a bit, but I spose pretty jump formed walls are a bit rare...
They should paint a cool mural on that blank wall and it could be used as a catalyst for more on other building's blank walls..
Had some time to kill this arvo:
and it was worthwhile!
Brilliant picture. Thanks Ryan!
Certainly making its presence felt. BTW, great shot.
^ Great update Ryan. Thanks
Eureka from the other day:
Now visible from Hamer Hall:
Core box removed on Sky
This morning. I'd be very surprised if they leave the core bare like that. Overall I quite like this. It has a borg like look to me.
Outside of the blank wall, i must say im pleasantly surprised by this one. Definitely one of the better Brady projects if not their best...shows promise for Vision I guess..
