Good lord. are they aiming for CBD's ugliest building? So this is behind 'Melbourne; one I guess where the bluestone laneways have been demolished
Do the CE architects vie to be the best at mediocre design?
So Australis is the new name for CE's Victoria One? http://victoriaone.com.au
Yeah not sure there, because Doig Architecture has had this tower called Australis for long before the Victoria One name came around.
That being said, makes sense why they would change the name if that's what they planned on calling it. Wouldn't want my ugly green Victoria One tower up against a tall slender green nice looking Victoria One lol.
30% sold, will be under construction by the end of the year.
CE have a model of this one on display at Melbourne Central, hurt my eyes.
Pretty shocking but hopefully that podium turns out better than just precast.
shocking
the reference to Melbourne's lanes embossed on that podium particularly funny given the 2 bluestone lanes it's just destroyed
I don't know why they think the concrete crap on the top make it look better. At least if it was just a plain glass box it would be inoffensive and just blend in. Articulation for articulations sake is never a good idea.
Previously approved development:
Display suite closing November 30th to allow for construction to begin.
AGREED.
Another Central Equity blight on Melbourne with added laneway destruction get's underway :-(
Does anyone know the name(s) of the "designer(s)" of this? It would be appropriate to publish them on this blog so that they can get the recognition they deserve for their work!
