You can see some of it in Ryan's last picture. I was in the area today and they've done a bit more.

Anythings better than the dump that was there. This is still a 'seedy' area........................

^^^3up There's no chance of a sinkhole opening up under all three of those buildings is there?

Really glad we got rid of the Kingsway overpass in order to reinvigorate that block ... *spewface*

Melb On - what made the area "seedy", though - the historic buildings, or the businesses in the area? This tower isn't going to change that!

King Street bars and clubs made this area seedy, albeit not quite as bad as what it used to be.

^^ Really?

I see it as a much better outcome compared to the two buildings on its left.

I collect, therefore I am. thecollectormm.com.au

Except for you know, those hideous blank walls.

I think this is a much better outcome than I had expected, and certainly not a terrible one as compared to a few nearby or across the road even.

It's absolutely fine on two sides, and, on the other two, a hate crime perpetrated upon the people of Melbourne (and a great many of our visitors given how prominent those two sides are when exiting Southern Cross Station.)

You have to rehost your image somewhere though, try imgur as it is free and the image should stay online for years. Upload it there and paste the img tags.

I personally do not mind this tower. It is well articulated and designed. Yes, it is a shame some old builds were lost and the blank walls on the title boundary aren't great, but lets hope for more development in the near future to cover the blank walls.
