What's this got at street level?

A great outcome all-round. A nice tower with a hotel and should tie up Brady for 3-4 years!

No doubt they used the approval of 280 Queen Street to negotiate a better deal with Hiap Hoe though.

3000 if you scroll back through the thread you'll see this is one of the most stunning street level designs of any new apartment we've seen not least because if will finally open up Timothy Lane all the way to Lonsdale giving us a new laneway.

The display suite still has no model but now has a lovely new render up on the walls and big red 'For Sale' signs on the site itself lol spoke to the agent and they are soft launching at the moment it will probably go mainstream in another month or two.

No word on construction yet though.

'380 Melbourne'...are they vying for 'most bland and obvious development name award' with 'Collins House' and '108 Australia' ?

Nah the worst I've seen is "Seamstress".
Leaflets all over the street for this awfully named development.

I think we all should be rightfully terrified about what will be on that western side.......

This part of the CBD needs a tower that is striking and serves as a backdrop to the low level heritage buildings along Elizabeth Street. As long as Brady don't undermine this design with their usual cheapness, this will be a beautiful tower - I love the most recent image!

Thanks for the update guys. Is there a website up for this development already?

Looks like a good trade off for the failure of Tower Melbourne.

"Failure" of Tower Melbourne? That's actually not true.

I've had some interesting conversations about Tower Melbourne the last few months. I'll post in that thread.

Im hoping that Because the 2 towers are joined, there is therefore no reason for any sides to have an exposed concrete wall as they can utilise that space instead of "Bradifying" the Tower ...

^^ Didn't they measure up that model well for the display suite ! Just barely scraping the roof ..

Be super impressed if the glass actually turns out curved as it appears in the render - wonder what the added cost is to fabricate that stuff ?

Here's some mega advertising on the site wall - a big (literally) improvement over the tiny signage they put up for literally a day on their first aborted attempt at launch.

Was thinking the same thing myself, Adrian. Would be happy if it ended up looking half as good as that, considering Vision. Not going to have high expectations, but looks like a step in the right direction at least.

Scaffolding is being erected on the facades of the existing building(s) on this site, so demolition is to commence soon, I suspect.

If this is a brady development How many blank walls will their be... 2?

Also I guarantee the podium will not end up like the renders, just look at Vision as an example

no blank walls on this one - Brady bought the site with existing permit so it's a step up in design quality for them

There is no scaffolding up for this one.

I think you're getting confused with 388 Lonsdale Street next door.
