Dispute resolution for residential tenancies
The Residential Tenancies Authority is responsible for residential tenancies and offers mediation in the case of disputes. If mediation is unsuccessful, either party can escalate the dispute to the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal.

Commercial tenancy legislation
Commercial tenancies in Queensland are governed by the Retail Shop Leases Act 1994, and the state government website has a list of regulations relating to retail tenancies.
Dispute resolution for commercial tenancies
Disputes relating to commercial tenancies are heard by QCAT, but the Retail Shop Leases Registry provides informal mediation.
