Toorak's Eddie Maguire stands up for Broadmeadows: Quote of the Week

- Eddie McGuire, commenting on a Sun Herald report on a research paper from Australian Institute of Family Studies that suggested the people of Broadmeadows struggle to get a job just because of where they live.

The former Broadmeadows boy suggested more job training was needed because traditional factory work was becoming extinct.

"We have to keep people working and anything we can do to help families facilitate a breadwinner makes an enormous difference not only economically but also with social cohesion," McGuire said.
