It last traded for $71,000 in 1979, which might account for the seemingly wayward pre-auction price estimate.

The SMH Domain gave the Federation, Drummoyne offering a $2.2 million plus price guidance.

However after the passing of its scheduled mid-week auction, the renovated four bedroom 1910 house comes with a $2.6 million asking price through Coopers Agency. Its on a 405 square metre block.

Behind the South Street facade is an abode with a modern kitchen overlooking the open plan living and dining areas.

There are glass bi-fold doors opening to its garden with stepping stones, water feature and established shrubs along with a tandem carport.

All three downstairs bedrooms have a fireplace and the upstairs main retreat comes with balcony with views of Brett Park, Iron Cove and the city skyline.
