Sydney's Alexandria Hotel sold to Merivale

Sydney's Alexandria Hotel has been sold off-market to Justin Hemmes' Merivale Group for $10 million.

The Alexandria Hotel sits on a 913sqm corner site was slated for development until community objection forced the owners to sell the hotel with JLL appointed.

Merivale will restore the venue.

JLL’s national director of investment sales John Musca said the locals have really missed their hotel and famous beer garden.

“We are proud to divest an asset on behalf of property developers, Fiducia and their partners, and thank them for entrusting us with this important mandate. We also take this opportunity to congratulate the purchasers, Merivale, with this exciting acquisition and look forward to their plans for the hotel.” he said.
