Number of homes for sale 2.1% fewer nationally: RP Data

The number of newly advertised properties is lower than a year ago with 2.1% fewer new listings nationally, with a total of 37,488, according to RP Data.

Melbourne has the highest number of new residential property listings for the month ending June 23, with 6,444 listings.

However year on year, the number of listings is 2.3% lower.

Sydney has the second highest number of listings this month with 5,875 but is also 2.3% lower year on year.

Perth and Canberra are the only ones to see an increase of listings, year on year.
