A new Italian café and bar, Valentini's is the latest addition to the Melbourne’s Equitable Place.

Fitzroy agent Alex Shum negotiated the five-year lease with a five-year term for the 101 sqm space at 12 Equitable Place at $110,000 per annum on behalf of a private investor.

The deal reflected a building rate of $1,090 per sqm.

The new offering, Valentini’s, will offer old-school Italian foods and wines, and high-quality coffee.

It features a full wall mural painted (pictured) by Italian artist Giorgio Marzo, artist name Smoe.

Valentini’s is the latest venture from an experienced operator in the hospitality industry who has owned, operated and managed venues in South Melbourne, Carlton and the CBD.

Mr Shum said the enquiry received for this space came from "a range of hospitality operators and fashion retailers looking to secure their own place in Melbourne’s famous laneway culture,”

Equitable Place already offers unique hospitality offering such as Brown Bagels, B’cos Brazil, Blank, Viet St., Kenny’s Bakery, Dodee Paidang and Madam I’m Adam.

It attracts a strong flow of customers from Little Collins Street, Collins Street and Elizabeth Street, and Shum said Valentini’s would bring a strong complementary offering.
