New Town ranks second behind Sandy Bay for unit price growth: Investar

Small Sandy Bay abodes have the highest unit median price growth in Hobart, according to Investar’s latest report.

The property investment firm says that in the past year Sandy Bay’s studio/one bedder unit median price rose by 24 percent from $215,000 to $267,500.

This is followed by New Town with 16 percent from $240,000 to $280,000 and Hobart with 15% from $400,000 to $460,000.

A two bedroom unit at 4/3 Lissadell Court, New Town (above) has been listed for $239,000.

Similarly a two bedroom unit at 5/5 Augusta Road, New Town (below) has been listed for over $285,000

A two bedroom unit at 8/3 Lissadell Court, New Town (below) was sold in March this year for $255,000.

Similarly a two bedroom unit at 1/4 Hildern Street, New Town (below) was sold in February this year for $252,000.
