Barrister Mark Cleary and wife Melanie, have sold their Clanville Road, Roseville home for $1.9 million.

The modernised 1937 house retains timber floors, decorative cornices, picture rails, leadlight windows along with a leadlight living room dome.

Set on a 1026 square metre block, the house comes with four bedrooms and two bathrooms.

More than $1.75 million was tipped for its recent auction through Pamela and Malcolm McCulloch of Belle Property.

It last traded at $1.46 million in 2008 having been listed two years earlier in 2006 with $1.8 million hopes.

The median house price in Roseville is $1.49 million, according to RP Data.
