A piece of Gundaroo history, The Royal Hotel (1865) which was a traveller's inn from the 1830's is for sale.

The 42 Cork Street building now hosts two successful enterprises; Grazing Restaurant and Functions Centre and Gundog Estate Cork Street Cellar (in the old Cobb and Co Stables).

Long standing leases are in place for both tenancies which are 35 minutes from the Canberra CBD.

Following renovations to the main building Grazing was opened in October 2003.

The restaurant has won many awards and has been featured in Australian Country Style Magazine, Gourmet Traveller, Regional Food Magazine, several cook books and on TV features.

According to the rental this property has "strong rental income" which is supplemented by onsite weddings.

Set on a half acre block the property also features wedding lawns and gardens on a second half acre (two titles) and comes with the option to purchase an adjoining acre with a house for future expansion.

The main building and stables are constructed of 0.6 metre thick stone walls.

The holding is for sale via an expressions of interest campaign ending December 5.
