H&M, the international retail giant, has announced the opening of its third Queensland store.

Located in Brisbane's Westfield Garden City, the store is set to open in May, the website ragtrader revealed.

It will follow an opening in Indooroopilly Shopping Centre in Queensland tomorrow, as well as a Queen Street site later in the year.

H&M also has stores in Melbourne's GPO in Victoria and Macquarie Centre in North Ryde.

Australia's first H&M fashion store opened in Melbourne's GPO building in the Bourke Street mall.

The chain has about 3,182 stores in 53 countries, opening a further 375 this year.

It took around three years to find the initial outlet sites in Australia, including the distribution warehouse at Eastern Creek in Sydney.
