Global fashion label H&M is to open its second Melbourne store at Eastland shopping centre.

QIC Global Real Estate has secured H&M for their eastern suburb centre at Ringwood.

Selling affordable and sustainable apparel, H&M’s existing Australian stores are at Melbourne’s GPO, Sydney’s Macquarie Centre in North Ryde, and the two Brisbane locations, Indooroopilly Shopping Centre as well as a Queen Street, Brisbane site.

Australia's first H&M fashion store opened in Melbourne's GPO building in the Bourke Street mall.

The chain has about 3,182 stores in 53 countries, opening a further 375 this year.

It took around three years to find the initial outlet sites in Australia, including the distribution warehouse at Eastern Creek in Sydney.

It has plans for a third Brisbane store and a Perth store.
