GSA to buy Parkville, Melbourne student residence

Student accommodation provider GSA are set to buy a 130 bed residence in Royal Parade, Melbourne, close to the University of Melbourne’s main Parkville campus.

Price is undisclosed. GSA purchased the building from Whitely College and will take ownership in 2017, int he meantime submitting plans to renovate the property.

GSA’s currently has a 346 bed development on development on Pelham Street, Carlton with completion and occupation set for 2018.

GSA are currently moving their Asia-Pacific headquarters from Hong Kong to Sydney. GSA's managing director of Asia Pacific, Simon Loveridge, will move from Hong Kong to Sydney as part of the relocation.

The Hong Kong office will continue as GSA’s Investment Management base in the region led by Victor Lor, head of investment management for Asia Pacific.
