Darwin's $690 weekly rental tops national median weekly asking rents: APM
The median asking rents for houses across the country ranged from $310 to $690, according to Australian Property Monitors.
The median weekly asking rent for houses in Hobart for the June 2013 quarter. This represented a 3.1% quarter-on-quarter decline and a negative 1.6% year-on-year change.
The median weekly asking rent for houses in Adelaide for the June 2013 quarter. This represented no quarter-on-quarter change and no year-on-year change.
The median weekly asking rent for houses in Melbourne for the June 2013 quarter. This represented a fall of 1.4% quarter-on-quarter and no change year-on-year.
The median weekly asking rent for houses in Brisbane for the June 2013 quarter. This represented no quarter-on-quarter change and a rise of 2.6% year-on-year.
The median weekly asking rent for houses in Canberra for the June 2013 quarter. This represented a decline of 1% quarter-on-quarter and also a 1% year-on-year decline.
The median weekly asking rent for houses in Perth for the June 2013 quarter. This represented a 1% quarter-on-quarter rise and a 14% year-on-year rise.
The median weekly asking rent for houses in Sydney for the June 2013 quarter. This represented a no quarter-on-quarter change and no year-on-year change.
The median weekly asking rent for houses in Darwin for the June 2013 quarter. This represented a -1.4% quarter-on-quarter fall and a 6.2% year-on-year decline.
