A Darlinghurst investment property occupying one of the most prominent corners in Sydney is for sale.

Currently leased to Coco Cubano on the corner of Oxford and Flinders Street, 191 Oxford Street comprises 661 sqm and features indoor and outdoor space.

It comes with a staggered lease expiry profile although it has multiple value-add opportunities available.

Located on the gateway to the eastern suburbs, it is estimated eight million cars pass the property per year.

Knight Frank agents Jonathan Vaughan and Dominic Ong have the listing.

Oldtimers will recall it as part of the collapsed property empire of the late Theo Morris, who sold it for $3,725,000 in 1993.

He had owned it for over two decades, having paid $125,000 in 1971.

It then traded for $7.75 million in 2002 before selling to the current owners for $11.58 million in 2013.

Expressions of interest closed two weeks ago and no public price guidance has been given.
