CDE Mortgages secure four year Sydney lease

CDE Mortgages has secured a 228 square metre office suite in the Sydney CBD.

The four year lease was secured at 233 Castlereagh Street, on about $540,000 gross plus GST per annum.

Owned by property fund manager and investor, GDI Property Group, the building was substantially refurbished in 2004 to provide its tenants with a more flexible and efficient floor space design.

Thomas Fredriksen and Brendan Shipp of Knight Frank negotiated the lease.

Mr Shipp said “we are noticing that demand has increased greatly from tenants across various industry groups looking for sub 500 square metre spaces, particularly in the southern precinct of the Sydney CBD."

He attributed that increased demand to "the number of overseas firms looking to establish offices in Sydney and meet the growing demand from overseas markets to invest within the Sydney marketplace."
