A hardware store on Brisbane's Bribie Island has been sold for $2.6 million through an expressions of interest campaign.

The Mitre 10 Hardware & Garden Centre, 1-7 Victory Road, Bongaree, is a 1,246sq m retail building set on a 4,172sq m corner site.

It was sold by Glenn Conridge of Burgess Rawson and Jon Tyson of Savills.

Jon Tyson said the Mitre 10 property boasts a high-exposure main road location in Bribie Island’s dominant retail dominant retail precinct, which includes the adjoining Bribie Retail Centre, the adjacent Woolworths-anchored Bribie Island Shopping Centre, and a future proposed Coles Shopping Centre.

“The property has excellent exposure and convenient access due to its corner location and also provides ample grade level car parking,” he said.

“The sale demonstrates the continued high investor demand for well-located retail properties in high-growth locations, secured by major national tenants.”
