Bumper day, but with no bat or ball players, RM Crockett cricket bat factory residential offering passed in

A three-level townhouse in the former R. M. Crockett & Son cricket bat factory at Seddon failed to sell at weekend Jas Stephens auction.

A $700,000 vendor bid came from auctioneer Branko Lemaic today.

A second vendor bid of $720,000 prompted the the two-bedroom conversion being passed in.

The reserve price has been signalled as $769,000 for 3/138 Charles Street.

In the 1960s the firm of R.M. Crockett & Son came under the control of the Slazenger. 

 
A Melbourne auction clearance rate of 79 per cent was recorded this weekend compared to 76 per cent last weekend and 69 per cent this weekend last year.

 

There were 1291 auctions reported to the REIV today.
