The first BankSA branch is for sale in Port Adelaide.

The heritage-listed property is currently being used as a home, but has functioned as a serviceman’s club for WWII soldiers, Formby's restaurant, after its early days as a bank branch.

The five bedroom, two bathroom premises have a grand entrance leading into a ballroom-sized hall. It has original timberwork, ornate ceilings and leadlight.

Ray White Port Adelaide agent Nick Psarros says the 1906 property has potential as a live-in business.

It has a commercial kitchen with the old vault being used as a wine cellar.

It has $750,000 hopes.
