The recently closed Leinster Arms Hotel building has been listed for sale for $3.8 million.

It is being sold as vacant possession after long-time publicans Glen and Wilhelmina McGee closed the doors after AFL Grand Final Day, having been in charge of the landmark establishment for 18 years.

The 1860s building last traded for $208,500 in 1991.

It has a front bar, lounge and dining area, two function rooms, commercial kitchen, bricked bistro garden atrium and two outdoor beer gardens.

The sale through CBRE Hotels includes a 1am General Liquor Licence.
