A fire station building dating back to 1912 in Sydney’s southern suburb of Hurstville has been put up for auction through Ray White.

The “Old Fire Station" at 78/23 MacMahon Street is a landmark freestanding strata office building in Hurstville CBD. It will be auctioned on September 28.

The building’s original features such as high ornate ceilings, picture railings, cast iron fire place and original timber fire truck entrance doors are intact.

It has modern fitouts and eight offices/ consulting rooms with plumbing.

The land area is 276 sqm.

Other amenities include a kitchenette and a formal reception desk.

There are DA-approved medical consulting rooms, that suit dental, accountant, solicitor, architect, general offices etc. subject to Council approval.

It last sold for $1.2 million in 2010, according to CoreLogic RP Data.

The listing agent is Chris Munk of Ray White.

The property is owned by Professor Ian Harris.
