1930s building in Hobart fetches $910,000 at auction

A 1930s red brick building with sandstone detail in greater Hobart has sold for $910,000 at auction.

The four-bedroom house at 13 Cambridge Road, Bellerive was built in circa 1930 to replace the adjacent old Police Station.

The building demonstrates the characteristics of a two storey inter-war Gothic Government building, according to its description.

It features double hung windows, parapeted gables and lintels over the windows.

It is currently zoned General Business.

The building area is 199 sqm and it sits on a land area of 458 sqm.

The selling agents were Candice Gottschalk and Greg Gottschalk of Harcourts.
