A lodge in the King Island town of Currie in Tasmania has recently sold for $280,000.

The Colonial Lodge at 13 Main presently comprises a guest house upstairs,1/2 shop fronts downstairs and includes an operating laundromat.

There is potential for further development for the eight-bedroom townhouse.

The building has a floor size of 405 square metres and sits on a block of around 817 square metres.

According to selling agent Mandy Potter of Harcourts, the property does need an overhaul but to its advantage are a good location and street presence.
