Building firm Built has been chosen to renovate Melbourne''s T&G Building at 161 Collins Street.
 
Completed in 1928, the T&G Building has 43,000 square metres of A-Grade commercial space across ten levels.
 
Built intends refurbish the office floors for better design and shared spaces, end-of-trip facilities and is targeting a 4.5 star NABERS Energy rating. The building will have two entrances -  Collins Street and Ramsden Place.

The refurbishment of the building will begin in the first quarter of 2017 with construction completed by early 2018.
 
Built was awarded the contract following a competitive process that included four leading national construction companies. Although the other contenders were very high quality, Built was chosen upon strength of team and experience.

“We have an established relationship with Built through our 20 Martin Place development in Sydney, which we are looking forward to continuing as work gets underway at the T&G Building.”
